Who thinks this will happen? I think there is great chance with Butch Davis on board! Can't wait for this season! Go Tarheels!

WHAT! Sorry, I have to admit I am not a Yankee. I am Tar Heel born! A new stadium?! What are you saying? You obviously do not know the history of Kenan Stadium or why the Kenan family built it there. Kenan Stadium has been voted consistently as one of the best venues in college football. The Kenan family insisted that should the stadium expand, and it has over the years, that the upper tiers never exceed the height of the surrounding trees. It sits in a natural bowl. On a crisp autumn day the trees and the setting are perfect for football. There is no better place to see a college game in the country. I've been to all the greats too! Notre Dame is just raged, Michigan too plain, Ohio State impersonal. THAT STADIUM IS A BEUTIFUL VENUE, NO BAD SEATS. IT HAS ROUTINELY BEEN EXPANDED AND IMPROVED OVER THE YEARS! I have seen it grow from 40,000 capacity with bleachers behind the goal posts to the state of the art 60,000 seat horseshoe it is today. Of course as a non-native you don't have the same appreciation and respect as a true Tar Heel would have for that stadium. You probably haven't even taken the time to find out why we are called Tar Heels!
